About The Position

The position of Probation Inspector involves conducting independent inspections and managing a caseload of difficult and complex probationers under the general direction of a Staff Services Manager I (SSM I). The incumbent will work as a subject matter expert in a lead capacity, monitoring probationers' compliance with disciplinary orders and identifying compliance issues for further action. Regular travel throughout assigned geographic areas is required, and the incumbent may provide training to lower-level staff. The selected candidate will be subject to fingerprint and medical clearance.

Requirements

  • Valid California Drivers License (CDL).
  • Background Investigation clearance prior to hiring.
  • Medical Clearance prior to hiring.

  • Ability to prepare comprehensive narratives and reports.
