This opportunity entails being responsible for conducting on-site construction inspections for projects supporting our clients. Provides inspection services for compliance with plans and specifications, prepares required contract documentation, and follows prescribed Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 1 year of construction experience.
  • All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of roadway or drainage construction experience
  • Bituminous or concrete paving experience
  • ATTSA Traffic Control, SRDTT, Moisture/Density Gauge, or ACI/CTT Certifications (or willingness to get them fast)
  • Direct UDOT project experience

Responsibilities

  • Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
  • Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.
  • Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform rudimentary mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
  • Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
  • Assists in on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
