JOB SUMMARY The Quality Inspector I tests and inspects in process materials as well as finished product.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and document required specs and measurements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Quality System Management, preferred.
  • Experience in manual and computer-based documentation control and development.
  • Ability to communicate well in person, in writing, and by telephone with customers and other company personnel.
  • Ability to read small print and to see at normal distances.
  • Ability to write clearly and legibly.

Responsibilities

  • Test, inspect, package and label in process and finished products as designated.
  • Perform visual inspection as per customer requirement and/or per Nordson MEDICAL standard.
  • Communicate (if any) required adjustment to production operators and supervisor based on measurement tests and visual inspection results.
  • Document inspection results into quality database according to procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform Melt Flow testing as designated.
  • Test and inspect incoming raw materials as designated.
  • Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, report any non-working or out of calibration equipment to Quality supervision or compliance coordinator.
  • Assist with training for new and/or existing Quality Inspectors.
  • Perform other duties as required by quality management including but not limited to rework, filing, special testing etc.
  • Verify labels and documentation as designated.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
