Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least 3 years manufacturing experience in set-up and operations of any 2 of the following computer numerically controlled (CNC) or manual machining processes: drilling, milling, grinding, turning, or broaching or 2-year degree from an accredited machinist training program.
  • Must have one year of experience reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and/or production planning.
  • Must have at least 2 years using precision measuring instruments.
  • Must be able to push, pull or lift parts up to 50 lbs. utilizing proper ergonomic procedures.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively in the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Aircraft Engines machining experience
  • Must be able to use computers and learn Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working in a high-performing team-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and Innovate: Perform hand contouring tasks using grinders, polishing tools, and automated equipment.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines and manual machining processes, ensuring tight tolerances and exceptional surface finishes.
  • Inspect and Assure Quality: Utilize electronic gauging equipment, surface plate inspections, and unconventional mechanical devices to verify dimensions and features.
  • Document findings and provide feedback to maintain the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate and Train: Actively participate in team-based environments, sharing knowledge and training others to uphold inspection techniques and manufacturing excellence.
  • Maintain Standards: Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ergonomic procedures while keeping workspaces organized and efficient.
