About The Position

Guardian Security Systems is looking for a motivated Inspections Tech Trainee with specific focus on Sprinkler Systems to work in our Inspections, Fire Alarm, Security, Service and Confidence Testing Divisions in and around our Seattle location. The Inspection Tech Trainee will be responsible for testing on Fire and Sprinkler systems for life safety according to jurisdictional requirements and NFPA standards.

Requirements

  • Driver’s license in good standing
  • Valid E06 trainee card
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and no more than one minor traffic infraction on record in the last three years.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Ability to problem solve, self-start and work with little direction.
  • Flexible and dependable.
  • Professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Works on a team and takes direction from instructors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to provide quality customer service, find answers quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Tests fire sprinkler systems.
  • Tests and services Fire Extinguishers.
  • Works closely with more experienced technicians and takes direction.
  • Completes documentation and forms, submitting daily to the administrative staff.
  • Utilizes the Building Reports Platform correctly and to its fullest ability.
  • Interacts with customers in a professional manner and provides clear communication on system status to building owners and property managers.
  • Participates in the on-call schedule.
  • Support and contribute to special initiatives and collaborative projects across departments, as assigned by leadership
