About The Position

Inspection Technician 1 (Oklahoma City, OK) Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living. The Inspection Technician 1 shall be responsible for performing moderate visual, dimensional, and functional inspections to ensure product meet the documented specifications. The technician will determine conformance and will document these decisions using good manufacturing practices. What will you be doing? Perform inspection of materials per inspection procedures to determine conformity. Determine nonconformities while performing repetitive inspections. Learn and understand the Smith + Nephew quality management system. Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to interpret drawing requirements. Perform first article inspections. Execute gauge repeatability and reproducibility studies. Utilize attribute and variable measuring equipment and gauges effectively. Support the qualification and validation processes for company product. Review corresponding product documentation to verify acceptability per specification and QSR requirements. Support department and organizational objectives Support continuous improvement activities throughout the site. Represent and promote quality standards including good manufacturing practices. Must possess good documentation skills to maintain neat and accurate records. Ability to work in a manufacturing and/or clean room environment. Ability to work in independently and in a team setting.
