About The Position

The basic function of this position is to supervise inspectors in performing routine inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance of the company product line, as well as similar competitive product line inspections. This role involves providing specialized training and direction to inspectors and trainees, auditing service delivery, and reviewing the performance of inspection teams.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a technical field, such as electronics or electricity, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of management experience, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in the fire protection/life safety industry.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of applicable fire regulations and codes (e.g., OFC, ULC).
  • Must obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and local codes.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment security, drug, and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • NICET Level II Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee fire alarm and sprinkler inspectors' day-to-day tasks.
  • Recommend new hires, promotions, and provide assistance in performance evaluation and training of technicians.
  • Ensure the total completion of all inspections and contract obligations.
  • Coordinate with dispatch for scheduling of all inspection teams.
  • Ensure timely scheduling and completion of all inspections.
  • Review deficiency inspection reports with inspections dispatch and Systems Integrity Representative.
  • Instruct inspectors on completing Service Requests with proper coding.
  • Ensure customer signatures are obtained upon completion of all assigned calls.
  • Maintain company manuals, vehicles, tools, and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assign effective performance measures and motivate employees to achieve objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and policies.
  • Provide ongoing safety training to all inspection and service personnel.
  • Exercise good customer relation skills by addressing customer programs or issues.
