About The Position

The Inspections Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing, and servicing customers who align with the company’s inspections sales strategy and standard operating procedures. This role focuses on generating new inspection contracts, growing existing accounts, and supporting the successful delivery and retention of inspection services. The position operates under the direction and responsible charge of the Service Manager. The Inspections Sales Representative reports directly to the Service and Branch Manager and works closely with service and inspection operations to ensure the successful execution and ongoing management of inspection contracts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to meet all insurance carrier requirements.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in outside, business-to-business sales.
  • Proven sales skills, including prospecting, cold calling, qualifying leads, and closing business.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management, organizational, and territory management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or service-based sales experience, preferably in fire protection or a related industry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and sales or CRM database systems.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in and maintain ongoing engagement with professional and industry organizations in the Tampa Bay area, including but not limited to BOMA, NAIOP, IFMA, and similar associations, to drive inspection sales growth across fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and BDA services.
  • Analyze and understand market opportunities for inspection services within the assigned territory.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Identify, target, and pursue prospective customers to secure new inspection contracts.
  • Present inspection services, features, and benefits clearly and professionally, and effectively close sales.
  • Develop and maintain accurate sales records, customer data, and follow-up activity within the company’s database.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from existing and prospective customers.
  • Proactively prospect for new business through cold calling, networking, and relationship building.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge of the fire protection and inspection industry, including applicable standards and best practices.
  • Effectively manage time, priorities, and territory to maximize sales productivity.
  • Complete all required documentation, reports, and administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
