We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Inspection & Packing Operative to join our growing team. This will be working on our morning shift where the working hours are Monday-Friday 6am - 2pm. Your role sits right at the end of the process, where you are required to ensure our luxury sinks are pack and sent out to costumers to the highest standard. Picking and preparing daily shipment orders in the time efficient manner whilst ensuring you are well organised. Conduct thorough inspections of product in the final stages to ensure adherence to quality standards. It will be your job to rework or reset any product that has a defect. Safety – Always wear PPE and Adhere to SOP’s Quality- Notify/ record any recurring defects or issues you see day to day. Delivery – Supporting the team leader to achieve the plan vs actual targets in your department. Performance – Demonstrate to your team leader improved performance on an agreed metric. People – Raise 2 high 5s in the year on fellow employees that you see go above a beyond to help and support the site.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role and happiest in a fast paced environment
  • Proven experience in delivering data driven solutions
  • Excellent at multi tasking and working with competing priorities
  • Technical understanding of computer programming and application development
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrated project management skills, adherence to timelines, stakeholder communication
  • Experience in using hand/ power tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential

Nice To Haves

  • Availability to work on various shift patterns would be preferred (Days, Afternoons & Nights) available for this role
  • Experience in abrasive wheel/ grinding/ Lifting equipment/ testing equipment desirable (internal training provided)
  • Previous experience in Quality Inspection/ rework, Production or Manufacturing positions (Benefit But not essential as training provided)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure our luxury sinks are packed and sent out to customers to the highest standard.
  • Pick and prepare daily shipment orders in a time efficient manner whilst ensuring you are well organised.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of product in the final stages to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Rework or reset any product that has a defect.
  • Always wear PPE and Adhere to SOP’s.
  • Notify/ record any recurring defects or issues you see day to day.
  • Support the team leader to achieve the plan vs actual targets in your department.
  • Demonstrate to your team leader improved performance on an agreed metric.
  • Raise 2 high 5s in the year on fellow employees that you see go above a beyond to help and support the site.
  • Communicate with second packing team and efficiently stack packed sinks.
  • Prepare picks provided by Team leader in time efficient manner.
  • Prepare pallets for shipment (Banding, wrapping, labelling, stacking).
  • Keep housekeeping at a high standard.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines always.
  • Ensure correct PPE is always worn.
  • Always follow SOP standards as trained.
  • Strive to do your best to achieve targets set for your area.
  • Ensure that housekeeping standards are always met through regular cleaning of the area.
  • Communicate any material defects, unsafe practices, or equipment to the Departmental team Leader.
  • Understand the process they are responsible for, and the impact of its failures.
  • Be willing to undertake training to develop in role and improve performance across other departments.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform various visual, functional checks and reworks.
  • Perform reworks following a detailed work instruction.
  • Document results and comply with the valid quality standards.
