About The Position

Inspection and packing of various tube products into defined packaging for the customer. Responsibilities range from defect identification, inspection, measuring, reworking, counting, cleaning, packing parts, processing tubing through equipment and ensuring quality of tubes being produced and shipped out. Must be able to identify material defects and non-conforming material.

Requirements

Ability to deal with stress and get along with co-workers and supervisors.
Ability to read and speak English is required.
Mathematical skills equivalent to high school level required.
Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
Regular attendance at work and punctuality are essential job functions.
Meeting the physical demands, essential duties, performance requirements, working hours and maintaining consistent and regular attendance are essential job functions for all plant employees.
Must have reliable transportation to the 76th Street/US 131 area.

Nice To Haves

High School education or equivalent is preferred.
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure the equipment is in safe operating condition.
Review the computerized work list for the equipment and part, must be able to locate available material.
Communicate with the other workers to formulate the running order of material.
Perform any necessary set-up during shift.
Process the job and stage material for material handlers.
Use of SAP for accessing work orders, creating batches and finish goods tags.
Must be able to identify material defects and non-conforming material.
Use first in first out (FIFO) inventory management to ensure the oldest material is used first.
Housekeeping and preventative maintenance duties are required daily.
Following all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures are required.
