About The Position

The Asia Group, LLC is now accepting applications for an TAG AI Insights and Analysis Associate . This role will be based in Washington, DC. TAG is a leading strategic and capital advisory firm that positions clients – ranging from Fortune 100 multinationals to innovative startups – for success in established and emerging markets across the Indo-Pacific region. The TAG AI Insights and Analysis Associate will monitor a defined set of geopolitical issues, track developments, and contribute to both short-form and longer-form business-oriented analysis. The Associate will support editorial workflows and content production under the guidance of Senior Associates and senior staff. The role requires strong analytical instincts, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to learn across teams and formats.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, political science, economics, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in analysis, journalism, consulting, or policy. Some demonstrated understanding of the intersection of business, policy, and geopolitics.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to synthesize complex developments clearly and concisely. Writing samples that reflect analytical rigor and intellectual curiosity are preferred.
  • Exposure to or interest in editorial workflows and cross-team coordination.
  • Openness to embracing technology and quantitative-centric methodologies to sharpen qualitative analysis is mandatory. Familiarity with AI tools or data concepts is a plus.
  • Ability to engage with macro geopolitical dynamics as a generalist, with developing interest or coursework in a thematic or geographic area.
  • Collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work across teams and formats.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with generative AI platforms or a growth mindset toward emerging technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track geopolitical developments across assigned themes, including coverage produced by other teams at TAG AI or across the firm
  • Contribute to short-form and long-form editorial products, including updates, quick takes, weekly analytical reviews, and thematic deep dives. Support the full editorial lifecycle from research and drafting to platform publication and post-publication iteration.
  • Leverage proprietary data and AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis. Work collaboratively across TAG practices to ensure analysis reflects client priorities and integrates cross-cutting insights.
  • Draft and refine content in accordance with editorial standards, incorporating feedback from Senior Associates and senior staff.
  • Support editorial workflow coordination and help maintain the editorial calendar under Senior Associate direction.
  • Contribute to multimedia formats including podcasts and video explainers.
  • Adapt content based on feedback from internal stakeholders and evolving editorial standards We value professionals who are proactive in exploring new ways to work smarter.
