About The Position

The Inside Territory Sales Team Lead is responsible for leading and scaling the virtual inside sales team to drive profitable growth across existing and new agency relationships. This role oversees strategic execution, team development, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with sales goals and product strategies. The Manager partners with regional sales leaders to optimize agent engagement, sales effectiveness, and operational excellence across all National General product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to business planning and enablement through participation in reviews, events, and development of sales materials and reporting tool
  • Facilitates feedback loops between agents and internal teams to identify and resolve process inefficiencies
  • Oversees recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes to build a strong and scalable team
  • Ensures compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal protocol
  • Drives agent engagement by increasing quoting activity and conversion rates across assigned territories
  • Monitors and optimizes sales workflows, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and agent experience
  • Develops and executes sales strategies to expand agency relationships and drive multi-product adoption
  • Owns team-level performance metrics including new business production, direct written premium, retention, and loss ratio
  • Aligns virtual sales efforts with broader strategies through collaboration with regional and territory leaders
  • Analyzes sales data and market trends to inform tactical adjustments and growth initiatives
