About The Position

Waters Corporation's Sales Organization is comprised of highly skilled, motivated and customer-focused professionals that serve as our customer's main point of contact. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as an integral part of the North America Inside Service Sales Team selling, renewing, and growing service plan business to Waters customers. Territory includes DC/MD/VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • 2 years sales experience required
  • Experience in a scientific instrumentation/high tech/medical device services organization preferred
  • Polished communication skills- telephone, email, etc.
  • Experience with a CRM database
  • Intermediate level user of MS Office products, SAP, and SalesForce
  • Time management/prioritization skills

Nice To Haves

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters related to the service contracts
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Collaborate with different teams to identify and grow opportunities within territory
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue customer concerns as needed
  • Strong Business insight in the Service Sales market
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Specialized training in Inside Sales is desired
  • Able to travel up to 25% for internal meetings/trainings accordingly

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team environment to drive sales growth both independently and collaboratively by ensuring timely renewals at existing accounts and prospecting for new service plan business.
  • Build strong customer relationships through extracting customer needs and understanding their buying cycle.
  • Achieve team and individual performance goals as set forth by management.
  • Forecast sales & revenue within individual's territory.
  • Apply telephone and electronic communication methodologies (email, web conferencing, etc.) to connect with internal and external customers, and progress sales opportunities.
  • Use CRM database to supervise sales activities, work opportunities, build quotes, etc.
  • Prioritize and deliver succinct, pertinent team reports and business development initiative updates.
  • Follow established service sales processes while looking for new, innovative ways to increase success.
