About The Position

HD Fowler Company is seeking a full-time Inside Salesperson - Pumps to join the team at our Bellingham, Washington branch location. As an integral team member, you will be responsible for serving external and internal customers, including the completion and tracking of material takeoffs for project bids. What you will do: Estimate, quote, and manage customer timelines and projects, executed under tight deadlines Assist customers (in person and via telephone) by writing orders, facilitating returns, renting equipment, and providing quotes; quickly and courteously greet customers and answer phones Assist with product selection and inquiries, problem solving, and acquiring non-stock material Support outside sales staff in writing orders, contacting customers, managing jobs and pending orders, and/or coordinating customer receipt of product Complete accurate and thorough takeoffs (including specifications, pricing, freight, etc.) Monitor plan center publications and internet postings to find job bidding opportunities Assist with job submittal and tracking, managing bid board, and/or coordinating all aspects of the job with other staff, as designated Proactively participate in continuing education, learning about product and material applications; train others, as requested Comply with all procedural expectations and safety standards Forklift and/or equipment operation, as necessary Other duties as assigned by supervisor Who we are looking for: Proven and relevant industry and estimating experience Customer service or sales background required Computer and mechanical aptitude preferred Able to follow company policies and comply with all other company expectations Able to interact positively with all types of coworkers and customers Able to operate in a high-paced, demanding environment under a variety of conditions Able to work overtime when required (generally limited to busy season) What's in it for you: Pay Rate DOE: $24.84 - $29.56 per hour Working Hours Primarily : Monday - Friday between 7AM-5PM 8 Paid Holidays Competitive Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits Flex Spending Programs for Health and Dependent Care $100k Group Life and AD&D Insurance - Premiums paid by the Company! Requirements

  • Proven and relevant industry and estimating experience
  • Customer service or sales background required
