With over 1,500 specialty SKUs spanning 500+ product families, Vybond serves 1,500+ customers across the HVAC, building and construction, industrial, retail, medical, aerospace, automotive, and other specialty industries. Job Summary The Inside Sales Representative will play a critical role in driving revenue growth for our business. This position focuses on managing and nurturing relationships with small accounts as assigned that are targeted for growth, ensuring consistent engagement and support. Working closely with Territory Sales Managers and other cross-functional colleagues, the Inside Sales Representative will actively manage accounts, follow up on performance against annual operating plan (AOP) targets, and provide essential support to the field sales team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of inside sales or customer service experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial products.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM (preferably Dynamics®) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Partner with Territory Sales Representatives to manage and grow smaller accounts. Maintain regular communication with assigned customers to understand needs and identify opportunities.
  • Sales Process Execution Present and sell company products or services using phone, email, and virtual meetings. Negotiate terms and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets. Upsell and cross-sell products where appropriate.
  • Lead Generation & Qualification Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through cold calling, warm calling, email outreach, and inbound lead follow-up. Research prospects and assess their potential for conversion and actively manage through CRM.
  • Customer Follow-Up: Proactively engage with customers who are lagging behind year-to-date or AOP targets. Handle inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally. Implement corrective actions and promotional strategies to improve performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers. Provide product information, demonstrations, and guidance to meet customer needs.
  • Sales Support: Coordinate with outside sales teams and other departments (marketing, operations) to ensure seamless customer experience. Coordinate internal and external support for large customer conversion projects Assist Territory Sales Representatives with quotes/cost estimates, order processing, symbol number set-up, and customer inquiries/quality issues. \ Maintain regular communication/coordination with Sales Managers and/or Manufacturing Sales Rep teams to ensure all information related to opportunities is collected in a timely manner and data is input into the CRM. Coordinate with internal teams (Customer Service, Operations, Marketing) to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution. As appropriate distribute monthly sales reports to Manufacturing Sales Reps. AS appropriate/needed, travel to customer meetings, industry shows/events to ensure customers are supported.
  • Pipeline & Reporting: Track account performance and maintain accurate customer records in CRM systems - Microsoft Dynamics Track interactions, update account details, and log sales activities for reporting and forecasting to facilitate weekly reporting on customer activity, opportunities, and risks. Active participation and coordination in pipeline review calls including as appropriate with Manufacturing Sales Rep team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Marketing to execute campaigns targeting long-tail customers. Support pricing initiatives and product launches as needed. Work with finance team to ensure relevant sales segment rebate tracker(s) are up to date and accurate. As appropriate, provide Buying Group and Key Account updates to Credit, Finance and Customer Care.
  • Continuous Improvement Stay informed about product updates, market trends, and competitor offerings. Participate in training to improve sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Other Responsibilities Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
