About The Position

Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motorsport and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composite materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medica prosthetics and sports equipment. Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, PC/ABS, HDPE and PP. SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS The Inside Sales Support III is responsible for supporting the business and Account Managers by setting up customer accounts, providing quotes, order entry and providing customers with critical milestone dates including ship dates. Additionally, the Inside Sales Support III will work closely with multiple teams such as Sales, Operations, Quality and Logistics to ensure shipments are on track and fulfilled, thus supporting our customers. On an as needed basis, the Inside Sales Support III will help train the Inside Sales Support team by educating and providing training opportunities related to the role. This role will facilitate return of material (RMAs) by partnering with the Quality department and Sales in determining the correct disposition and communicating with Customers. Requirements

  • High school or equivalent experience, however, Associates or bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales or account management
  • Some experience as a trainer or lead is preferred
  • Manufacturing or composites experience preferred
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, metric to standard unit conversions and volume.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English
  • Comfortable interfacing and developing professional relationships with customers internally and externally
  • Maintain work areas in a neat, orderly and safe manner
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred) and MS Office suite
  • Ability to solve practical problems and resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Follow safety procedures for PPE
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple items

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience as a trainer or lead is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Building partnerships with the Sales team to set up and maintain customer accounts by obtaining Customer details, credit application, and working with Finance on credit terms
  • Manage quotes by creating, reviewing and providing to customers
  • Ensure purchase orders are reviewed and accurate
  • Manage order entry, report status of testing, certification and ship date
  • Partner with planning, production, and sales on order pull ins and push outs
  • Monitor and track export approvals and track usage of export license
  • Accountable for initiating the review of customer specifications to purchase orders by working with quality to validate and review requirements
  • Manage, monitor and track order status requests and provide updates to customers and departments
  • Entering sample orders by working with different departments
  • Review, estimate, and provide lead times to the account managers and customers as needed
  • Modify and maintain open order reports for customers as needed
  • Support Logistics with the coordination of order splits and/or other special shipping requirements.
  • Work closely with the account manager and quality to mitigate customer complaint submittals and correspondence.
  • Work with quality on RMA entry/correspondence and tracking
  • Maintain and monitor the customer’s portals and access/update in a timely cadence
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy and completion of customer submittal forms
  • Support and train Inside Sales Support team as needed
  • Provide and maintain formal and informal training opportunities related to Inside Sales Support to team members
  • Attend customer weekly conference calls, merge calls, shipping calls as required
  • Implement, improve quoting process by checking quoting history to ensure quoting history is quoted correctly on subsequent orders working within the Delegation of Authority
  • Make recommendations to maximize On Time Delivery (OTD) by coordinating with materials and manufacturing groups to provide customers with the best possible delivery dates.
