About The Position

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Inside Sales Specialist to join our growing team.  The Role: American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for Commercial Inside Sales Representative for Commercial Doors and Hardware to join our talented team of professionals. This person will work with an experienced and respected sales team representing and selling our extensive line of commercial door products.  This role is based in Sacramento, and candidates must live locally, working on a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite each week. JELD-WEN is one of the world’s largest door and window manufacturers, with more than 22,000 employees operating in 24 countries globally. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, JELD-WEN designs, produces and distributes an extensive range of interior and exterior doors, wood, vinyl and aluminum windows. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years of experience in sales, customer service, or the building products industry
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office)
  • Excellent work habits
  • Positive outgoing attitude
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, goal oriented
  • Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to promote and maintain a TEAM atmosphere

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years of commercial door and hardware product knowledge
  • 4+ years of sales and customer service experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and oversee commercial product lines
  • Receive high volume of incoming telephone calls and emails
  • Process and maintain customer orders
  • Maximize margin on sales
  • Provide price quotes and quote follow-up
  • Provide high level of customer service in answering customer inquiries and solving customer challenges
  • Use selling skills to convert sales inquiries to orders
  • Regularly reads trade publications and attends product knowledge (PK) seminars to stay current on industry trends and new product offerings in the Door and Hardware Market
