About The Position

The primary function of this position is to provide phone-based sales and customer support to increase sales and revenue for the Distribution Center. Inside Sales Specialist aid in the many support, coordination and administration efforts necessary to service our customers. Daily functions will include taking and processing customer orders, processing quotes, and making outbound calls to new and current customers.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales making outbound sales / cold calls
  • Experience in the building products industry helpful
  • Experience with and understanding of maintaining inventory management applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing practices, including communication with internal purchasing resources and external supplier contacts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft based software applications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to pass drug test and background verifications

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a key point of contact for various customer facing activities sales quoting, managing orders and order confirmations
  • Ability to be a Hunter and make outbound sales / cold calls
  • Ability to build relationships with new and existing customers
  • Be a Champion the Customer Experience
  • Develop deep product Knowledge to assist and educate customers
  • “Fill Out Trucks” – Sell the whole package accessories
  • Educate and advise customers of current market trends, changes and challenges – become a trusted advisor
  • Acquire knowledge of the market conditions and competitive landscape. Use this knowledge and customer relationships in dealing with competitive situations and negotiations.
  • Sell at the highest possible price.
  • Interact daily with TSM strategizing on how to grow market share in their combined territories
  • Prepare & submit weekly Pulse Reports
