About The Position

At Ultimation Industries, an MCE Company, Inside Sales Specialists serve as the primary contact for customers seeking conveyor systems, material handling solutions, and automation equipment, ranging from quick-ship orders to fully customized installations. This role involves handling inbound calls and inquiries, guiding customers to appropriate solutions, managing orders from inception to completion, and supporting the company's expanding e-commerce operations. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, a quick learner, and capable of managing multiple priorities within a team setting. Ultimation Industries, founded in 1988 and headquartered in Roseville, MI, is a leader in designing, manufacturing, and installing automation and assembly equipment. They are the largest integrator of Jervis Webb overhead conveyor systems in the U.S. and a prominent direct-to-customer online seller of conveyor equipment, serving various industries across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. Requirements

  • 2+ years of customer service and/or inside sales experience, demonstrating ability to handle volume and stay organized under pressure.
  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a professional phone presence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and quick to learn new products and processes.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly Epicor Prophet 21 (P21).
  • Familiarity with HubSpot CRM or GoTo phone application.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, or industrial products experience.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and route a high volume of inbound calls, serving as the first point of contact for customers seeking conveyor systems, material handling products, and automation solutions.
  • Partner with customers via phone and email to understand their application needs and identify the best product solutions.
  • Prepare and support customer quotations accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Process returns and resolve order-related issues promptly and professionally.
  • Support order entry, online order processing, and shipment coordination from start to finish.
  • Quickly build and maintain strong product knowledge across Ultimation's full lineup.
  • Support ongoing e-commerce growth initiatives, contributing to one of the leading direct-to-customer conveyor platforms in the U.S.
  • Assist with process improvements that drive efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction across the sales and order management workflow.
  • Perform general administrative support tasks as needed to keep the team running smoothly.
