About the position

The Inside Sales Representative at Brown-Campbell Company is responsible for driving sales growth and fostering customer relationships through effective account management and customer service. This role involves daily interactions with a large customer base, processing orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction while working closely with various departments within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Daily interaction with a large customer base.
  • Responding to customer's inquiries and requirements.
  • Administrative processing of customer orders (i.e. quotations and order entry).
  • Follow-up and closing quotes and orders.
  • Out calling to customers in the company's database (not cold calling).
  • Expediting all orders to achieve 100% on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Sourcing for non-stocked items.
  • Sharing any interaction and involvement with customers that might require the outside salesperson's attention, or may result in additional sales.
  • Understanding the goals and concepts of our business and incorporating business goals to achieve sales and profitability.
  • Working closely with branch manager, credit, inventory, systems, warehouse, and other departments in the company.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years sales experience in inside sales.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, & Outlook).
  • Very strong math aptitude and detailed oriented.
  • Superior communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Negotiation skills are required.
  • Ability to work well in a team atmosphere.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Grating, Perforated & Expanded Metal, Roof Deck or Wire Cloth is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required depending on the person's level of experience.
