About The Position

This is an inside sales position where the employee’s duties are to partner with sales team(s) to monitor and/or perform the duties of an Inside Sales Representative to establish a working relationship with the customer base by addressing customer quotes, orders and issues and ensuring effective problem resolution via mail, telephone, or personal communication.

Requirements

  • Proficient reading, writing, math skills with ability to calculate figures and amounts
  • Proficient knowledge of 5Star Roll Form products and services
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer service orientation and a commitment to company values
  • Good time management skills with ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Proficient information gathering and monitoring skills to facilitate effective, unbiased decision making and problem-solving functions
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills
  • Close visual acuity and upper limb coordination
  • Ability to sit for extended periods during normal phase duties
  • Light/medium (5-20 lbs.) lifting capability during normal phase duties
  • Minimum Five (5) Years Sales Experience; or Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and Access Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Microsoft D365 ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems Experience Preferred
  • Steel Sales Experience a Plus

Responsibilities

  • Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests
  • Prepare, maintain and communicate customer pricing and quotations
  • Enters sales orders and communicate applicable production data
  • Confirms all customer orders in a timely fashion.
  • Tracks and expedites sales via production as required.
  • Dispatches customer orders working with logistics for on-time shipments and tracks customer orders.
  • Confirms all customer shipments with detailed delivery information
  • Support outside sales for any sales related function.
  • Provides all aspects of customer service for key direct sales accounts.
  • Responsible to seek and cultivate new customers via phone and/or email
  • Responsible to communicate and monitor house accounts and provide feedback to the sales team on their current business activity
  • Provides detailed sales reports to management on a timely basis
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned by executive management personnel
