About The Position

This position is located in our Centreville, VA office in direct support of the Inside Sales Manager. The Inside Sales Rep is responsible for the identification and positioning of current products to drive lead generation across multiple regions. You will be responsible for driving net new sales leads in both new accounts or cross sell identified opportunities within existing accounts. The Inside Sales Rep will use a deep understanding of current product set, relationship development, and consultative/solution selling skills to increase demand for the Company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience
  • 2 – 3 years in a sales or sales support role
  • 2 – 3 years in a sales role with Government (federal/state/local), highly desirable
  • Experience in a Call Center environment, inside sales experience or related sales experience
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers
  • Persuasive, persistent, goal-oriented, coachable, trainable, and adaptable.
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry
  • Tenacity to handle rejection and proceed with a positive attitude when reaching next potential client
  • Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Source new sales leads through inbound lead follow-up and outbound prospecting calls and emails
  • Research potential leads, identify key players and generate interest
  • Cold calling; making high volume/high velocity outbound calls to potential clients
  • Telephones prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline
  • Answers potential client questions and follow-up call questions
  • Responds and engages with request from current and potential clients for information and give online demonstrations and presentations
  • Remains knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments within the industry
  • Understands client needs and offer solutions and support
  • Maintains current processes and system database of prospective client information
  • Works closely with Business Development Executives and Client Executives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
