About The Position

This position is responsible for sales activities in an assigned territory to meet company sales goals. Responsibilities include developing accounts, generating leads, and achieving quotas. Occasional travel required.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have between two and three years of previous experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve Sales Quotas: Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales quotas as collaboratively set with management.
  • Account Management: Maintain and grow current accounts through regular on-site visits, preparing tailored business proposals, and actively engaging in client relationship management.
  • Business Development: Proactively develop new business opportunities for air and ocean cargo services.
  • Utilize diverse sources including newspapers, business directories, industry advertisements, trade shows, and websites to compile lists of potential customers.
  • Customer and Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain professional relationships with key personnel among customers and vendors. And engage in consistent communication through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and email correspondences.
  • Sales Leads and Viability Assessment: Identify and assess the viability of prospective customers to enhance targeted marketing efforts. And determine potential opportunities for new business through strategic inquiry and relationship building.
  • Rate Quotations and Credit Terms: Prepare and provide rate quotations and establish credit terms for new customers, aligning with company policies.
  • Sales Meetings and Reporting: Participate in departmental sales meetings to discuss project statuses, prospective customers, and strategies for achieving sales targets.
  • Import/Export Operations Assistance: Assist in all facets of import and export operations, including booking, dispatch, documentation, compliance checks, customs clearance, and brokerage. Coordinate with warehouses for efficient handling and notification procedures, ensuring smooth transition and delivery of goods.
  • Shipment Monitoring: Proactively monitor the status of all shipments and serve as the primary interface between customers and vendor services to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Internal Coordination: Communicate and collaborate effectively with other personnel and agents within the organization to ensure cohesive operations and the resolution of operational challenges.
  • Customer Service and Problem Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution. Investigate customer concerns thoroughly and provide sustainable solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and maintain service quality.
  • Regularly check the creditworthiness of assigned accounts in coordination with the Accounting Accounts Receivable (A/R) department to ensure financial security and compliance.
  • Submit the Monthly Actual Delivery Date Report as per the established schedule.
  • Prepare and submit the Monthly Cargo Insurance Report on time, maintaining consistency and adherence to reporting standards.
  • Ensure timely submission of all expense reports, facilitating efficient financial management and reimbursement processes.
  • Any project that is assigned by supervisor/manager and/or the Company.
  • Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
  • Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by senior management.
  • Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to managers for solution.
  • Maintains good communication with managers, other staff members and outside contacts.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.
