About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for managing, retaining, and growing assigned customer accounts through proactive communication, cross‑functional collaboration, and exceptional service. This role supports revenue growth, account expansion, order execution, and customer satisfaction while maintaining accurate sales data and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of inside sales or account management experience required (B2B or distribution preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM tools preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and propose solutions.
  • Self‑motivated, collaborative, and capable of working independently.
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and deepen relationships with assigned customer accounts through daily communication and responsive service.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to evaluate performance, opportunities, risks, and customer needs. Present tailored sales strategies.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotes, pricing requests, and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Partner with Outside Sales, Customer Experience, and Strategic Partnerships to grow revenue, margin, and market share.
  • Oversee full order lifecycle execution, ensuring smooth handoffs between departments and timely fulfillment.
  • Support and execute customer integrations, including onboarding processes and system alignment.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Finance, and other teams to resolve issues and maintain high service levels.
  • Manage customer forecasts, stocking agreements, product substitutions, and account‑specific requirements.
  • Analyze order data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Identify inefficiencies in order processing and recommend workflow enhancements.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to implement best practices and process improvements.
  • Provide feedback on system performance and suggest enhancements to support customer and business needs.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to management when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data for customer communications, sales activity, pipeline management, and opportunity tracking.
  • Ensure documentation, communication logs, and customer files meet company standards.
  • Participate in sales promotions, product trainings, and supplier updates.
