About The Position

This Inside Sales Representative (ISR) opportunity is for individuals with a positive attitude who enjoy sales and interacting with people. The ISR will serve as the face of the store, providing friendly customer service that encourages customers to choose Carter Lumber. Carter Lumber, founded in 1932, is a family-owned company with over 90 years of history, operating more than 160 locations across thirteen states. The company values honesty, hard work, and putting people first. In this role, the ISR will assist customers in the store, provide product information, offer advice on project needs, generate estimates for packages and projects, and process transactions. Additionally, the ISR will follow up on online customer quotes, cold call to qualify new leads, support Outside Sales Representatives, and assist with inventory control through cycle counts and resolving discrepancies. Comprehensive training will be provided on products, the POS System, and paperwork. Compensation includes a salary plus an uncapped commission structure.

Requirements

  • Experience working in sales or customer service in a building materials environment

Responsibilities
