About The Position

PMI Pipe, Steel & Supplies Bilingual Inside Sales Representatives are to participate in our sales operations and activities. A Bilingual Inside Sales Representative works with customers to ensure a smooth sales process. They must demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism during in-store and follow-up with customers. They must develop leads and seek opportunities to present additional products to current customers.

Requirements

  • Spanish Speaking
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must be knowledgeable on store products
  • Good phone skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Dress and perform job duties in a professional manner
  • Follow company procedures and employee manual
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and training.
  • Able to read tape measure/caliper.
  • Must be proficient in simple math; add, subtract, multiply, and divide – weights, length, size, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, squat, twist, reach and stand/walk for an entire workday
  • Ability to walk in a gravel yard and hard indoor surface to review stock many times each day
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Profit 21 or similar ERP
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Excel, Word

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for product knowledge to answer customer questions
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, cold calls, and emails.
  • Greet customers and create rapport
  • Responsible for closing deals and processing payments
  • Responsible for customer follow-up
  • Developing leads and referrals
  • Achieve monthly sales quotas
  • Use excellent oral communication and best practices in customer service when interacting with customers
  • Report any inventory or pricing discrepancies to the branch manager.
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Have an excellent knowledge of company inventory
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Respond in a timely manner to company email, voicemail, and text
  • Attend monthly sales meetings.
  • Identify slow-moving items.
  • Coordinate purchasing with all locations.
  • Utilize all 7 locations’ inventory for sales, if needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
