About The Position

As an Inside Sales Representative at Momentive, you will be the customer champion, handling inquiries, samples, and turning leads into sales. Leverage your sales expertise to support both external customers and partners. By working seamlessly with field sales and internal teams, you will free up time for new business acquisition while ensuring exceptional order processing and customer satisfaction – all contributing directly to Momentive's profitable growth. Please note that this role requires on-site presence five days per week, Monday through Friday. This exciting Inside Sales role offers you the chance to be the champion for our customers across 2 Business Units (BUs) and interact with customers in the US and LAM! You will be the first point of contact, guiding existing and prospective clients through the entire Order to Cash (O2C) process.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, along with a minimum of 2 years proven experience successfully building and managing customer relationships in a sales or service setting (including sedentary, field, or similar environments).
  • Alternatively, candidates with at least 6 years of equivalent relevant experience may be considered instead of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven ability to represent a company’s brand positively through clear and professional communication (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated experience with the use of the Arkieva application, or a similar enterprise planning and forecasting platform, to support SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) processes.
  • Experience building effective working relationships with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, basic Excel, and common business technologies.
  • Experience supporting customer needs in complex, international, and fast‑paced environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customer requests, prioritize by urgency and business need, and deliver on time.
  • Solid business judgment with a proactive, ownership‑oriented approach to customer issues.
  • Detail‑oriented and well‑organized; able to remain professional, focused, and responsive under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Possesses hands-on experience working with the SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) module. Familiarity with core functionalities like order processing, pricing, deliveries, and invoicing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be the friendly voice and email pro, handling Tier I & Tier II customer inquiries across all business segments.
  • Tier I: Assist with basic requests like product documentation, technical data sheets, and certificates.
  • Tier II: Tackle complex issues by connecting customers with the right subject matter experts (e.g., Product, Legal).
  • Own the sample order journey! Process requests efficiently in Salesforce, ensuring all details are accurate for seamless transfer to our SAP ERP system. You will see it through from creation to customer delivery.
  • Become a master of Salesforce & SAP - these are your key tools for success!
  • Keep clients proactively informed about their TIER I + TIER II case status, and sample order status, and take appropriate actions as needed - such as initiating and escalating follow-up with ad-hoc departments to satisfy the case or sample request to completion; maximizing Momentive’s ability to Serve.
  • Act as the front line + sedentary business role (aside from Commercial partners) for all inquiries (phone, email, web) related to sales, products, and services and ensuring customers' satisfaction with products, services, and features.
  • By acting as the front line + sedentary business role (as defined by each BU), this position will adopt a “Farmer” type profile – ultimately, freeing up the time of our field sales account managers so that they can focus their efforts on securing new business for Momentive (“Hunter” type profile).
  • Analyze data from Salesforce reports + dashboards to identify open issues and take appropriate action.
  • Analyze customer needs and determine appropriate interface communication flow between Customers, Sales, Logistics, and all other support departments – ADEs, Product Stewardship; Global Trade Compliance; Quality, and Legal (non-exhaustive list).
  • Work closely with Commercial communities to provide sedentary sales support.
  • Overall responsibilities include maintaining static customer accounts, providing admin support as needed, endorsing value-added activities that drive business + profitability growth, and adopting the “Farmer” profile as earlier defined.
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and proactive communication.
  • Contributes to internal Self Assessments (AMRS + EUR) for case management audits; employing a unique Inside Sales point of view to ensure compliance. Led by Global Inside Sales Business Process Owner (BPO).
  • Completes other duties as assigned
