About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for ensuring a positive and collaborative sales and store environment, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the operations team to streamline the order fulfillment process.

Requirements

  • Prior sales experience preferred or background in residential construction
  • Strong interest in sales and/or retail as evidenced by previous job experience or education
  • Knowledge of building materials a plus
  • Ability to work independently with customers and as a teammate with co-workers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds individually
  • Please note that this position will need a background check and drug screen completed before employment may begin.

  • Knowledge of building materials a plus

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers visiting the showroom
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, answer customer inquiries, and process invoices
  • Prepare estimates for building material products, including special orders
  • Provide exceptional customer service by developing a thorough knowledge of products
  • Use point of sale software program to fill customer orders, create purchase orders, and maintain inventory control
  • Work closely with vendors to procure products
  • Assist as needed to load and unload materials, stock showroom, and organize store displays and product literature
  • Maintain a clean, professional work environment
  • Follow up with inactive customers for business development
  • Additional store responsibilities as required
