About The Position

The Insides Sales Representative plays an important role in supporting our goal of creating lasting value for those we serve by servicing our customers needs and offering connected solutions. The position is responsible for offering our products and services to businesses or individuals throughout the construction, industrial, commercial, institutional, and government markets, both in-person and virtually. You will work closely with our sales and operations teams to deliver customer experiences that promote and support our products and services, while meeting customer expectations. The Inside Sales Representative promotes our culture, The SYD Way, and our core values to all those they serve.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide pre-emptively timely and accurate communication to customers regarding orders, questions, and concerns.
  • Collaboration with vendors and other Schaedler Yesco Distribution departments, as needed, to meet the needs of the customer.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and/or customer-related information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good sales and negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to prioritize work based upon customer need(s).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
  • Previous experience working in electrical sales or distribution supply sales required.
  • Must have experience utilizing Microsoft Office products.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience utilizing Eclipse software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information on products and services
  • Assist customers with product selection and application
  • Share information as it relates to the SYD credit policy, various delivery options, in-house services, and training events
  • Provide feedback on accurate product availability and delivery information
  • Manage bid opportunities via the bid follow-up process.
  • Responsible for oversight of products on bid and/or sales orders, including but not limited to purchasing from vendors and/or manufacturers, resolve customer problems, communicate lead times, ensure delivery of order, and process credits
  • Work directly with vendors to obtain special pricing, when applicable.
  • Grow sales and gross margin
  • Utilize vendor websites for product searches, pricing, availability and cut sheets.
  • Review and manage daily reports and queues to maintain accurate prioritization and necessary follow-up on bids, open orders, and credits
  • Manage all inbound and outbound communications in a professional and timely manner
  • Properly maintain daily schedule, e-mail, and voicemail to reflect current activities.
  • Work with Outside Sales to keep account pricing relevant and contact information up-to-date
  • Pursuit of continuing education related to Schaedler Yesco Distribution products, services and solutions.
