About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative will focus on building and nurturing relationships with state and local government agencies, driving sales of mission-critical technology solutions. This role combines proactive outreach with consultative selling, ensuring that agency stakeholders understand and derive value from the solutions offered. You will manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to proposal support and closing, while collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver compliant, effective solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence public safety outcomes, work independently in a remote environment, and contribute directly to organizational growth and impact in government markets. Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills are key to success in this role.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in inside sales, business development, or account management, ideally with state/local government or law enforcement clients.
  • Proven success in generating leads, building relationships, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of government procurement cycles, contract vehicles, and budget timelines preferred.
  • Experience selling technology, software, or mission-critical solutions is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a virtual environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls, virtual meetings, and presentations to identify and qualify new sales opportunities with state and local agencies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with agency stakeholders, procurement officers, and local government partners.
  • Understand client operational needs and procurement processes to deliver tailored solutions and value propositions.
  • Support proposal preparation, RFI/RFP responses, and other sales documentation for government clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including technical, legal, operations, and marketing—to ensure compliant and effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline forecasting, CRM documentation, and performance reporting.
  • Stay informed on government procurement regulations, trends, and competitive intelligence.
