About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team in the industrial distribution sector. This role involves supporting the sales process by managing customer relationships, processing orders, and providing product knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Requirements

  • Must have worked for a distribution or manufacturing company in an office setting that has done inside sales. (THIS IS A MINIMUM requirement)
  • Must have recent 2-5+ years of inside sales experience (not retail or call center. Someone that has inside sales for a distribution companies is highly preferred)
  • Must have strong excel experience
  • Strong computer skills and customer service skills are required.
  • Professionalism and sense of urgency is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, preferably in an industrial or distribution environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial products and distribution processes.
  • Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background check and drug test required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Epicor).
  • Mechanical aptitude or technical background.
  • Experience with inventory and order management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and follow up on pending orders and deliveries.
  • Provide technical product information and application support for industrial products
  • Maintain and update customer records and sales data in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with outside sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to fulfill customer needs efficiently.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to increase sales volume.
  • Handle customer complaints, returns, and warranty issues professionally.
  • Track sales trends and customer activity to assist with forecasting and inventory planning.
