As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in interacting with existing customers to enhance sales of the Company's products and/or services. Your primary responsibility will be to obtain, create, and up-sell orders, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction and adding value to the customer's buying experience. You will employ proactive selling techniques to generate new business and expand the current book of accounts. Collaboration with outside sales teams will be essential to ensure that sales goals are being met effectively. In this position, you will be responsible for obtaining orders through various channels, including email and telephone calls. You will verify and enter items into the system, transfer orders to fulfillment, and communicate stock-outs and expected delivery dates to customers. Your role will also involve increasing order volumes by suggesting related items, explaining product features, and reviewing customers' buying histories to identify opportunities for additional sales. You will own, qualify, and develop opportunities that are passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts. Continuous improvement of processes will be a key focus, as you will be expected to identify areas for enhancement. Additionally, you will prepare, generate, and follow up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders or understand the reasons for any lost orders. Monitoring open customer order reports and taking action on items at risk of not meeting promised delivery dates will also be part of your responsibilities. You will maintain reports related to backorders and customer notifications, and provide management with insights on industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback.
