About The Position

Responsible for managing and growing existing customer accounts while actively prospecting new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive sales approach, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. This position will also support lead generation efforts, nurturing prospects through the sales funnel, and collaborating with outside sales when appropriate.

Requirements

  • College degree in a marketing, business, scientific or engineering discipline; some technical and/or mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • 2+ years of inside sales, account management, or customer service experience (industrial or manufacturing market experience preferred).
  • Strong prospecting, cold-calling, and lead qualification skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual communication tools.
  • Knowledge of adhesive tape products, industrial materials, or related markets a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer software proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, etc.
  • Writing skills that demonstrate clear, articulated details in correspondence and reports.
  • Dedicated and committed to company goals with drive and motivation to succeed coupled with ability to effectively collaborate on teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of adhesive tape products, industrial materials, or related markets a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Proactively identify, research, and prospect new customers within target markets.
  • Qualify inbound leads and nurture them through regular follow-up communications.
  • Collaborate with marketing and outside sales to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads and opportunities.
  • Provide product knowledge, technical information, and guidance to customers to support purchasing decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities using CRM tools.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals, including revenue targets, activity metrics, and pipeline development.
  • Prepare quotes, process orders, and manage account inquiries efficiently.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
  • Support outside sales representatives with account intelligence and customer relationship management.
  • Conduct self and execute all responsibilities in a professional and effective manner consistent with Company Guiding Principles.
  • Make identifiable and substantial contributions to continuous improvement through goals and involvement in the Individual Development Planning (IDP) process.
