About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative will be part of a collaborative sales team responsible for proactively selling to existing and new customers within a defined geographic territory. The role focuses on driving market penetration and accelerating sales growth through virtual customer interactions, account management, and project pursuit. Success in this position requires building customer rapport and establishing trust through a consultative selling style, while contributing to the overall sales strategy of Hach North America.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years sales experience, particularly in tele-sales within a business-to-business environment.
  • Proven ability in cross-selling and up-selling, with experience increasing revenue within existing accounts.
  • Knowledge of water plants operations, water testing requirements, and applicable regulations is helpful.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com.

Responsibilities

  • Engage clients and prospects via phone to identify sales opportunities for immediate closure and funnel placement.
  • Execute a consultative sales strategy using internal solution selling methodology.
  • Handle technical and application sales questions from customers, providing prompt responses including quotes and technical advice.
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity in Salesforce.com.
  • Collect and provide constructive feedback to management to drive continuous improvement of the inside sales process.
  • Collaborate with other sellers to improve inside sales prospecting processes.
  • Engage in department key performance indicators (KPIs) through visual management and countermeasures.
  • Interface with various teams to optimize sales efforts.
  • Contribute to creative promotional programs.
