About The Position

Inside Sales Representatives drive precast sales by managing new and established accounts through outreach, quoting, and order processing. They also serve as the vital link between Outside Sales and the Estimating Department, ensuring the estimating calendar and project coordination remain perfectly aligned to hit sales targets.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required; a Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred to meet the strategic demands of the role.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of proven experience in a fast-paced sales environment, with a track record of successfully managing complex customer relationships and high-volume accounts.
  • Experience with Excel, SAP, Titan, or StackIt (or other CRM/ERP and estimating software) is highly preferred.
  • Strong background in database research and market data extraction to support lead generation and competitive analysis efforts.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record to support potential travel and off-site client engagement.
  • Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read and interpret complex civil and precast production drawings and specifications.
  • Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of utility and specialty precast concrete applications and market pricing.
  • Mathematical Aptitude: Proficient math skills for accurate quoting, dimensioning, and data analysis.
  • Strategic Interface: Proven ability to manage customer relationships and act as a professional liaison between clients and production.
  • Communication Excellence: Strong verbal and written skills for clear technical reporting and client correspondence.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail regarding technical specifications and contract accuracy.
  • Adaptive Prioritization: Ability to manage competing objectives and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Competent in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills for high-level sales tracking, data analysis, and technical reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong bonds with existing customers while proactively fielding inside sales inquiries.
  • Data Analysis: Establish methodologies for tracking sales metrics and competitive capabilities to inform pricing strategies.
  • Operations Support: Assist in generating and requesting material quotations and analyzing lead times to meet customer delivery expectations.
  • Driving Revenue: Core responsibilities include managing the sales pipeline by following up on outstanding quotes, securing final sales, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance to Inside Sales I and II teammates, including the formal review of their quotes and the development of departmental protocols and policies.
  • All other duties as assigned.
