About The Position

Airgas is Hiring for an Inside Sales Representative in Longview, WA! This position involves selling industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding equipment, power and hand tools, paint and other supplies to customers. The representative will advise customers on tools, hardware, and materials needed, and procedures to follow to complete tasks. Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, processing orders in the SAP system, and assisting with customer deliveries. The role also requires maintaining showroom displays and ensuring compliance with safety policies.

Requirements

• Excellent driving skills required.
• Maintains appropriate drivers’ license.
• Must be proficient in operation of forklift or the ability to be trained.
• Ability to perform very heavy work, routinely lift, push, pull, carry 30-50 pounds and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 pounds.
• Ability to operate in a drug-free workplace.

Nice To Haves

• High School degree or equivalent experience and education preferred.
• At least one year of knowledge and experience of arc and gas welding with at least two years industry experience preferred.
• Proficient computer skills using Google products highly recommended.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety data sheets.
• Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Sells industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding equipment, power and hand tools, paint and other supplies to customers.
• Advises customers on tools, hardware, and materials needed, and procedures to follow to complete tasks.
• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Ensures all required paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing.
• Processes orders in the SAP system including cash and charge orders.
• Communicates with customers, sales staff, and store managers about cost, ordering, and delivery times.
• Arranges delivery of cylinder and/or hard goods requested by customers.
• Stocks showroom shelves with merchandise and maintains showroom displays.
• Operates company vehicles and equipment in compliance with safety policies.
• Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
