About The Position

Orthman Conveying Systems (OCS) is a trusted manufacturer of conveyor systems and bulk material handling equipment serving customers across a wide range of industries. We are seeking a driven and detailed oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Cleburne, Texas. The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in supporting sales operations and building strong customer relationships. This position is responsible for managing customer inquiries, preparing accurate and detailed quotes, and coordinating order fulfillment for OCS conveyor systems, components, and replacement parts. This role requires technical aptitude, strong communication skills, and a customer-first mindset to ensure timely and accurate solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be High School graduate or GED
  • 2-5 years of inside sales or customer service experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using ERP and CRM systems for quoting and order management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset with strong commitment to customer service
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Successfully pass all pre-employment screening which includes drug screening, background check, Credit Report (dependent on position), Motor Vehicle Report (dependent on position)

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
  • Experience with bulk material handling systems highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming customer inquires
  • Review specifications, drawings, and application details to prepare accurate quotes
  • Support the outside sales team with technical information and documentation
  • Enter and maintain customer data, quotes, and orders in ERP/CRM systems
  • Follow up on quotes to drive conversion and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Coordinate with accounting to resolve billing, payment, or credit issues
  • Provide updates to management on quote activity, order status, and customer feedback
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling OCS products and services
  • Represent OCS professionally in all customer and internal interactions
