About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative at Nucor Building Systems is responsible for driving sales and managing projects within the metal building industry. This role involves engaging with builders, generating project takeoffs, and ensuring profitable sales for the division. The representative will also support District Sales Managers (DSMs) and uphold safety standards in all operations.

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience in Metal Building, Construction, or a related field, or a graduate of the DDSM program.
  • Ability to interpret Architectural and Structural Drawings.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to builders' offices and job sites, possibly on short notice.
  • Required to have and keep a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Associates Degree or Bachelor's in Business, Construction, or Engineering related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully selling projects that are profitable tons for the division.
  • Covering DSM role in territories without an active DSM or while DSMs are unavailable.
  • Generating project takeoffs and creating eQuote scopes from drawings and specifications.
  • Traveling with the DSMs to assist with builder recruitment, project meetings, and box-by-box reviews.
  • Developing and maintaining sales strategy and setting expectations with builders to ensure equal business stature.
  • Multi-tasking between projects, scheduling, pricing, phone, and email correspondence.
