The Inside Sales Manager will lead our team of Sales Development Representatives in generating revenue opportunities for our growing trailer leasing business. This role is responsible for managing a high performing inside sales team that focuses on outbound prospecting, cold calling, and market research to build qualified pipelines for the outside sales organization. The ideal candidate is a strong motivator, coach, and data-driven leader who can align team performance with company growth goals.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • 5+ years of inside sales experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes, pipeline management, and CRM systems (salesforce or equivalent).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including virtual meeting skills.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills - with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience in transportation, equipment leasing, logistics, or related industries is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive inside sales (sales development) initiatives that support outside sellers and overall revenue growth.
  • Manage and oversee outbound calling campaigns, email prospecting, and target market research.
  • Monitor pipeline creation and conversion metrics; track team performance against KPIs.
  • Parter closely with outside sales to ensure smooth lead handoff and collaboration.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to optimize prospecting strategies.
  • Ensure the team consistently builds relationships with prospective customers through professional, value-driven conversations.
  • Recruit, train, mentor and manage a team of Sales Development Representatives across North America.
