Grow your career as Inside Sales Manager for the Western Region within ALG Vacations. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for working alongside and assisting the Coastal and Mountain State BDMs, representing and selling Travel Impressions, Apple Vacations, Funjet Vacations, United Vacations, Southwest Vacations, and Blue Sky Tours. Your specific focus will be a hybrid approach of admin support and sales. Your main functions will be to assist the BDM team with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: following up on escalation issues, running reports and providing data analysis to help create strategy, tracking activities and updating cases in Salesforce, drafting email content for BDM emails, and communicating with agencies while BDM is on the road. You will also act as a New Growth Development Manager as you'll be assigned growth accounts to manage. Your focus will be in developing strong agency relationships and mutually beneficial partnerships with the objective of growing incremental revenue and profitability by providing superb customer service and communication. You will think like a BDM and take a consultative selling approach when analyzing data to identify where, and how we can gain share shift opportunities from our competition, leverage preferred relationships and follow up to execute engagement plans to grow incremental revenue. This role will take responsibility, alongside the BDM, to work as a team and find strategic ways to identify opportunity, overcome obstacles to secure business, and align to growth strategies company wide. The Inside Sales Managers ability to work closely with the BDM, their Director, and the Sales Support team, to learn and understand the territories, and identify ways to create efficiency for the BDM, the agency, and the company will be key to this role's success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with degrees in business, marketing, communications or finance preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of related experience in sales or the travel industry.
  • Travel industry knowledge or experience preferred but will consider other candidates with transferable sales background.
  • Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Smartsheet.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally by plane and car - 10%.
  • Data Analytics skills - must be able to understand reports and interpret data.
  • Must have the ability to telecommute and be comfortable working independently.
  • Sales and customer service skills necessary to provide the best experience for advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic alliance with the BDMs in the Mountain and Coastal States to learn and understand the region.
  • Work with BDMs to create efficiency in process and communication to the region.
  • Assist in overcoming obstacles and escalations using a consultative sales approach.
  • Analyze data to help gain revenue commitments with travel agencies for the appropriate brand(s).
  • Assist in executing an implementation plan with agencies to realize committed revenue.
  • Maintain engagement plans for all opportunity accounts.
  • Offer input in conversations to create strategic ways to grow engagement and build trust.
  • Act as an out of office contact where needed so BDMs can focus on training and development.
  • Represent ALG Vacations at events where needed to cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Work with BDMs to achieve sales targets by creating efficiency in managing the territory.
  • Help create brand loyalty through joint marketing plans, agency education, and product differentiation.
  • Document all sales activity in reporting tool.
  • Monitor competitive activities in the marketplace and provide feedback in reporting and meetings.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.
  • Attend weekly team calls with Director to make a strategic impact on growth and development.
  • Work alongside Regional Director to ensure key messages are communicated effectively.
  • Attend roadmap calls with director weekly to focus on personal strategic development.
