About The Position

The Technical Service Specialist serves as a key product knowledge resource for sales, customer service, and project coordination. They employ their knowledge of Filtration products to educate internal and external partners, review incoming requests for proposal, and develop accurate and competitive techno-commercial proposals in concert with our sales team and channel partners. Serve as a key technical resource supporting the North America and global sales teams, distributors, and product end users with accurate product and application knowledge. Develop and produce professional techno-commercial proposal packages for standard and configurable Filtration product lines. Evaluate commercial and technical requirements of requests for proposal, advising customer of conflicts and making recommendations for changes. Review incoming project orders and transmit them to the engineering and project coordination teams. Assist in facilitating in-house and field training on filter sizing, pricing, application, and function to help in the development of market channels' filter system knowledge. Maintain current market knowledge and other job skills through participation in field study, internal and external educational opportunities, and industry affiliations. Provide feedback to the engineering and sales team to support new product and market development. Assist the marketing and pricing teams in development and maintenance of product literature and price guides. Analyze data and prepare quarterly reports on product line sales performance. Participate in periodic ad-hoc projects in support of sales, marketing, and operations goals. Engage in intradepartmental learning and cross-training to broaden product knowledge. Support the customer service team by responding to customer phone calls and emails as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in industrial technical sales, manufacturing operations, or engineering OR Minimum four (4) years of experience in industrial technical sales, manufacturing operations, or engineering.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Chanhassen, MN / Tinton Falls, NJ will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or physical science from an accredited institution.
  • Knowledge of industrial liquid filtration applications.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other customer resource management (CRM) system.
  • Experience working an industrial manufacturing enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform.
