About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative to support our manufacturing sales operations. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service through quotations management, order management, and proactive resolution in a fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with production, logistics, and sales teams to deliver best-in-class service to our valued customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • 3+ years of inside sales experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment - pipe and fittings or PVF experience preferred
  • SAP S/4 Hana hands on experience
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Experience and comfortable in conflict resolution
  • Ability to multi-task and reprioritize throughout the day
  • Good systems aptitude and solid PC/keyboarding skills
  • Strong basic math skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare project quotations for customers in collaboration with Sales Representative(s)
  • Verify customer purchase orders to ensure all information is accurate and complete
  • Schedule and maintain orders in SAP and/or Salesforce
  • Calculate ordered products to determine truckload percentages; create deliveries for released orders by calculating truck loads
  • Provide product pricing, availability, and lead times to customers as requested
  • Communicate with Customers/Sales Reps to obtain truckload fills and order releases
  • Maintain frequent communication with Sales Representative(s) regarding customer quotations, open order status, potential issues and opportunities for entire book of business
  • Ensure seamless communication with customers by coordinating with and obtaining information from Planning, Sales, Credit, Logistics, and other internal departments
  • Resolve customer and sales issues in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Proactively keep customers informed of any issues regarding orders/deliveries
  • Manage the Return Material process within agreed upon policy parameters
  • Research and communicate with customers on any credit disputes
  • Process credit applications for new or updated customer SAP accounts
