About The Position

The Inside Sales Customer Service Representative at National Strand, part of The Heico Companies, is responsible for receiving, processing, and following up on inquiries related to sales orders. This role involves preparing price quotes, maintaining sales records, and addressing customer complaints. The representative will maintain contact with management of assigned accounts and ensure a thorough understanding of steel wire products. The position requires coordination with production, scheduling, and shipping to meet customer requirements and involves assisting customers with order placement and inquiries.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in customer service within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office and other support software; D365 knowledge highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, processes, and follows up on inquiries for sales orders.
  • Prepares price quotes and initiates order entry process.
  • Maintains and updates database information such as sales records and price pages.
  • Handles customer complaints and refers them to designated departments for investigation.
  • Maintains contact with management of specifically assigned accounts.
  • Maintains knowledge of steel wire products.
  • Represents and assists Sales Representatives and Sales Managers.
  • Coordinates paperwork flow until billing is completed.
  • Coordinates with production, scheduling, and shipping to meet established schedules.
  • Assists customers with order placement, product questions, and complaints.
  • Initiates order entry process and accurately enters data into ERP.
  • Ensures a balance between company policy and customer benefit.
  • Enhances existing relationships by informing customers of new product offerings.
  • Assists in sample and literature requests, tracking back orders, and pulling customer information.

  • Full-time position with typical work hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
