About The Position

McCormick Paints is looking for a Floating Inside Sales Associate to support our stores across the Baltimore region. The Floating Inside Sales Associate plays a key role in supporting multiple stores by providing excellent customer service, supporting daily store operations, and ensuring accurate and efficient handling of orders. This position requires active participation in sales, store upkeep, warehouse tasks, and deliveries as needed. Flexibility, attention to detail, and a customer-first attitude are essential.

Requirements

  • Prior experience is a retail, sales or customer service position
  • Customer service skills, including problem solving and handling customer complaints
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a customer-centered environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Dependability, flexibility and professional demeanor
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • A self-motivated, engaged, team player
  • High school degree, or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and carry up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • A valid driver’s license & clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers, assess their needs, and provide knowledgeable product recommendations
  • Tint, mix, and match paint accurately to meet customer specifications
  • Process customer orders, including preparing items for both in-store pickup and delivery
  • Accurately handle point-of-sale transactions, returns, and account charges
  • Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation
  • Receive and stock incoming deliveries in the store and warehouse
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles with paint and sundry products
  • Make deliveries to customers, ensuring timely and professional service
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and warehouse environment
  • Participate in regular store cleaning, display setup, and equipment upkeep
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as updating price books, managing customer account cards, and filing paperwork
  • Provide operational support across multiple store locations as assigned, based on business needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the store and sales team
