About The Position

Direct a total effort to achieve the Territory/District sales goals and objectives and to sell the organization’s products by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of applicable experience in a customer service or sales role.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word, and Powerpoint), strong analytical, organizational skills and the ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize and work independently.
  • Excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to be able to visit accounts and participate in Sales training and meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar customer service/ sales focused role (B2B foodservice) and previous knowledge and/or experience working with SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Stay informed on new products, pricing, and other general information.
  • Provide advice and guidance to customers based on their needs.
  • Quote selling price and credit terms for orders obtained.
  • Develop specific sales and pricing objectives for each account and obtains and maintains customer contracts.
  • Ensure the proper service and follow-up on all customer accounts.
  • Maintain working knowledge and understanding of the customer and Don order cycles.
  • Handle customer problems with appropriate and prompt actions.
  • Ensure that adjustments and damaged merchandise complaints are handled with good judgment, promptly, and within company guidelines.
  • Display or demonstrate products using samples and catalogs to emphasize features and benefits on each call.
  • Maintain daily contact with internal Don Departments, customers, factory representatives and other outside sources.
  • Check.on competitive sales and pricing activities
  • Ensure that presentations and selling ideas are made to all persons who have an influence on the purchase of products.
  • Prepare sales estimates and forecasts when required on a timely basis and of minimal variance.
  • Maintain current customer files and sales binders.
  • Develop and maintain an active prospect list.
  • Attend and participate in District/Regional/Branch sales meetings.
  • Understand and analyze marketing data, i.e. Round Reports/Product Mix/A/R Report/Price Lists.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
