About The Position

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Inside/Outside Machinist for projects located in or around Warwick County,VA . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $27/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope: Install, align & test main propulsion machinery & supporting systems Overhaul, maintenance Install valves, pumps, turbines & heat exchangers Lube oil flushing, hydrostatic testing & system grooming Install mechanical systems; anchor windlasses, aircraft elevators, weapons elevators & hydraulic components Use precision instruments (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators) to achieve proper alignment and fit Operate machine tools and portable equipment (e.g., lathes, boring bars, milling machines) to modify or fabricate parts as needed Perform boiler operations, tube replacements, and steam system testing Support installation of air conditioning, refrigeration, and distilling plant systems Ensure cleanliness and integrity of all systems throughout installation and commissioning phases Other tasks as assigned/needed

Requirements

  • Must have 4 years of commercial/naval experience as a First-Class Machinist
  • Ability to interpret & work from complex technical drawings, blue prints, diagrams and sketches
  • Must have OSHA10; TI may provide to qualified candidates
  • Ensure cleanliness and integrity of all systems throughout installation and commissioning phases
