This position plays an important role in supporting our customerscontractors, builders, and tradespeopleby helping them quickly and accurately obtain the materials they need to keep their projects moving. Saturday hours are required.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math skills and comfort using computer systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with contractors and customers
- Dependable and team-oriented attitude
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in construction materials, building supply, retail sales, or contractor support is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates
Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the sales counter with purchasing masonry and construction materials
- Process transactions using our computerized point-of-sale system
- Provide friendly, efficient service and answer basic product questions
- Handle cash and electronic payments accurately
- Coordinate with yard staff to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly
- Maintain a clean and organized sales counter area
