About The Position

The Inside Machinist JM3 is responsible for operating machinery associated with the manufacturing process. This role requires a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and is competent in setup, operation, and maintenance of machine shop manual equipment. The machinist will read job specifications to determine necessary machine adjustments and material requirements, as well as perform tasks such as deburring and hand finishing parts, cleaning the shop, and tracking material purchase orders. Adherence to safety policies and procedures is critical, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring safety measures are in place for hot work operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of machine shop experience
• Ability to speak and understand English
• Good at math
• Knowledge of speeds and feeds
• Ability to recognize machinery problems and troubleshoot
• Ability to utilize measuring equipment
• Make knowledgeable decisions regarding safety and company standards and policies
• Able to operate various hand tools

Responsibilities
