Builds and maintains relationships with new and existing reinsurance clients, developing strategies and goals for the development and management of these accounts. Understands client's business and their reinsurance needs and applies knowledge of risks and the reinsurance market to find and arrange suitable reinsurance coverage and policies. Acts in the interest of the clients and offer products from more than one reinsurer to secure the optimal reinsurance solution. Identifies revenue opportunities among new and existing clients by creating demand and awareness of the organization's products. Achieves revenue targets through client retention and increasing new business. Applies practical knowledge of sub-function area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiencies: Working independently with general supervision; Facing function related problems that are difficult but typically not complex; Potentially influencing others within the function through explanation of facts, policies and practices. Works to achieve operational targets within sub-function with direct impact on department results. Works independently on larger, moderately complex/technical function projects/ assignments. Sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments. May train new team members. Responsible for adjusting or recommending enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of function. Problems and issues faced are general, and may require understanding of broader set of business issues but typically are not complex. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue. Typically follows prescribed guidelines or procedures to resolve problems. Has working knowledge of basic concepts and procedures. Works under supervision and direction from more senior level roles.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
