About The Position

Help us get the news into the hands of our community. We are looking for a reliable self-starter to join our fast-paced warehouse and mailroom team as an Inserter. In this role, you’ll be a key part of the process that ensures our newspapers reach our readers every day. This shift is from 11:00AM to 7:30PM +/-. Requirements

Good mechanical aptitude; ability to understand and work with machinery and equipment
Attention to detail, accuracy, and precision in handling materials and documentation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the workday

Responsibilities

Hand inserting free-standing inserts into the inserting machine
Use of the shrink wrap machine to wrap pallets
Use of pallet jacks or forklifts to move materials between the mailroom and the warehouse
Use of a “jogging” table, aligning all inserts perfectly prior to loading an inserting pocket
Work on the binder machine to load signatures
Loading mail pieces into the mail machine and gathering address pieces off the conveyor
Responsible for the daily cleanup of the mailroom
